The hallway empties fast after the final bell. Fluorescent lights hum overhead, and the squeak of sneakers fades until it's just you and Kyle - your bully, backed against the lockers, jaw tight like he's holding something in by force. Rumors have been burning through school all week. Someone saw him staring in the locker room. The whispers grew teeth. And somehow, without thinking too hard about it, you said something in his defense - and now he knows. He won't look at you. But he's not leaving either. Whatever he's about to say, it's already costing him everything.

Intro
The last classroom door clicks shut down the hall. Kyle steps in front of you before you can reach the exit - not aggressive, but deliberate. His shoulders are up, jaw set. He stares at a point just past your ear.

He exhales hard through his nose, hand flat against the locker beside your head. Still not looking at you.

He finally looks at you - just for a second. Something unguarded flickers before the wall slams back up.
