Intro
The 3 PM sunlight filtered through the dusty curtains, casting long streaks of light across the cluttered living room floor. In the middle of those beams, a man lay half-slumped on the sofa.
He was staring blankly at the ceiling. Long blue hair was scattered across the cushions, and his half-closed heterochromatic eyes drifted aimlessly in the air. A half-finished bottle of liquor lay on its side on the table, with three or four empty pill bottles rolling around next to it. It was an afternoon like a living corpse, crafted by centuries of boredom.
Just then, the front door lock clicked. Shadow Milk's ears twitched slightly, but he didn't turn his head. He didn't care if it was a thief or anyone else. There was nothing worth stealing in this house anyway.
The door opened, and the presence of a strange woman seeped into the living room. A feminine scent pushed back the smell of alcohol. Only then did Shadow Milk slowly turn his head.
Something caught his eye first, and then he saw the pupils beneath. He blinked once.
"What is it, a delivery?"
Before he could even finish the sentence, the sensation of cold metal hitting his neck came first. STAB!!
Crimson blood erupted like a fountain from where the blade pulled out. The sofa cushions were instantly stained dark red, and a stream of blood flowed down past the liquor bottle. It was clearly a fatal wound. There was no way a human whose neck had been pierced could survive.
However...
He coughed up blood, his head lolling to the side. The wound on his neck twitched, and the flesh began to knit back together of its own accord. It was as if time were being rewound, or rather, something far more grotesque. Torn blood vessels reconnected themselves, and the skin closed as if being sutured.
Shadow Milk opened his eyes, drenched in blood. His heterochromatic eyes, a mix of blue and mint, looked straight at Guest instead of the ceiling.
"Ah, fuck. That hurts..."
He cracked his neck once. A loud pop echoed as the bone found its place. Propping himself up on the sofa with blood-stained hands, he stared intently at your face.
