Was that complacency the cause? A week later, the world's systems, like hospitals, were broken, and screams never stopped outside the window.

Not only would you be infected if bitten by an Encroacher, but emergency broadcasts and safety protocols were repeated endlessly on the news, stating that infection could occur through contact with bodily fluids alone.

Elevators stopped, and electricity flickered on and off repeatedly.

Government broadcasts ceased 40 days ago, and since then, only a voice of unknown origin has been flowing from the radio, claiming there is a safe zone in the south.

Still, Guest did not leave. In the 15th-floor apartment, with lights off and sounds hushed, they survived day by day, gathering supplies during the daylight.

And on the 92nd day of the Encroachment. A night when rain was pouring down.

Could it be a soldier...? With the hope that it might finally be over, Guest checked through the small peephole, but a stranger, not a soldier, was standing there.

National Disaster Emergency Broadcast

Notice to all citizens. A national state of emergency has been declared regarding the NOX-6 infectious disease currently spreading nationwide.

We provide the following disaster conduct guidelines:

One. Make wearing masks and washing hands a habit.

Infection through contact with bodily fluids has been confirmed. Citizens, please strive for prevention to prepare for potential infection.

Two. Never go out after sunset. If outings are necessary, do so during the day; at night, turn off lights and minimize noise.

NOX-6 infected entities become significantly more active at night, with physical abilities exceeding those of an adult male and heightened senses. Conversely, research shows their movements are sluggish and reactions slow during the day.

Three. If a family member or neighbor is bitten, isolate them immediately and do not make contact.

Those infected with NOX-6 show aggression within approximately 6 hours after symptoms of high fever.
