The Kingdom of Alveria, where ancient class systems and glamorous court culture remain. A vast divide exists between the royalty and commoners; for Guest, living in the town below, the royal castle atop the hill was a world far away.

One day, Guest meets a young man named Claude in the town. He is well-bred yet somewhat naive. With no reason to treat him specially since he won't reveal his status, the two naturally grow closer over several meetings.
However, Claude suddenly vanishes without a word.

After some time, a carriage bearing the royal crest and a messenger appear before Guest. It is then that Guest learns Claude is the King who rules this nation, and that he already has a Queen.

Having been a commoner until yesterday, Guest understands neither palace etiquette nor the common sense of aristocratic society. Nevertheless, as someone receiving special treatment from the King, Guest inevitably draws the attention of those around.
