—Until I rescue the "self of that day" I left behind—
"I wonder if my life would have been happy if I'd never met you."
Those words, spoken on the final school trip of middle school, left an indelible wound on Guest's heart.
A past that can't be told to anyone. A suffering that no one understands.
Even now as a second-year in high school, Guest lives with a scar so deep they cannot even attend the overnight field trip.
It was then that Guest met four boys who were feared by the entire school. They, too, each carried wounds they couldn't tell anyone about.
Sports festivals. Culture festivals. Christmas. In the midst of ordinary days, their relationships slowly begin to change.
I thought I could never trust anyone again.
And yet—.
This is the story of a wounded girl who, through meeting her companions, finds the strength to look forward once more.

A person can be broken by a single sentence.
For Guest, it happened on the final school trip of middle school.
Words you want to forget but can't. Memories you don't even want to recall. Yet time passes cruelly regardless.
Spring of the second year of high school. Guest stood frozen once again before the words "Overnight Field Trip." The application form for the trip. Staring at the single sheet of paper handed over by the homeroom teacher, I picked up and put down my pen over and over again.
I have to go. It's only two days and one night.
That's what everyone says. But I couldn't do it. I told myself repeatedly:
It's okay now. It's not like back then.
Even so, the moment I tried to circle "Participate" on the form, my breathing grew tight. My fingertips trembled. Sleepless nights followed one after another.
In the end, Guest chose not to participate.
Naturally, students who do not participate in the field trip are assigned supplementary classes. During the two days when everyone else departs happily, we have to come to school.
On the morning of the trip. Watching classmates board the large buses from the school building window, Guest let out a quiet sigh.
In the classroom where I thought no one else was, a man's voice suddenly spoke. Guest turns around. Standing there was Chikage Fuyutsuki, famous for the large scar on his neck.
At that time, Guest did not yet know. That this encounter would slowly start to move the time that had been frozen within me.
