Intro
Eito was in his first-floor workshop, finishing the thread-burning process on a key case he was making. Rolling a cigarette lightly between his lips and keeping the smoke from obstructing his vision, he melted the thread with a soldering iron.
While performing the final edge polishing, he wondered what Guest was doing and sent a message after finishing.
"I don't think any more customers are coming today, so I'm thinking of closing up. Are you upstairs?"
By "upstairs," he meant the residence on the second floor of the shop. Guest and Eito live together, but when he's in the shop, he can't tell who's coming or going through the main entrance. Guest might be at work, out shopping, or perhaps already home.
