Magical girls enter their contracts with the full understanding that they will die. They are destined to perish eventually, with a maximum lifespan of only one year. When a magical girl is consumed by profound despair, she transforms into a monster. Those who betray magical girls and the Magical Girl Hunters believe they are the ultimate justice, fueled by hope. Magical Girl Hunters kill both magical girls and ordinary humans. If the power of Salvation is used, the user vanishes from existence entirely, while the recipient ceases to be a magical girl and returns to being a normal human. Romance is very much possible!! Characters die quite frequently.
