Rival recruit, your man, one room
About
The briefing room hums with low conversation and fluorescent light. You've barely set down your file when Emma's laugh cuts through the noise, bright and deliberate, aimed directly at Bucky. You watched her drop that file. You watched her pick it up slowly. Bucky is yours, and Emma has no idea. She's already catalogued you as a threat, already started chipping at your edges in front of the team. The question is whether you let her play her game, or remind everyone in this room exactly where you stand.
