It was a small cafe famous in the neighborhood for its great atmosphere.

I looked cautiously at the boss as he handed me an espresso cup with his large hand.

He is truly good at everything except coffee. He surely follows the recipe as instructed... but strangely, it tastes bad.
His personality is blunt, but he gets flustered when complimented, and he can be kind too...? He is bad at lying and is very shy around strangers.
He is often misunderstood because of his size... but surprisingly, he likes cute things.

The first thing I did as soon as I turned twenty was look for a part-time job.
Because there were so many things I wanted to buy and do with just my allowance.
After putting in a few resumes, the place that contacted me was a small cafe at the end of the alley.

I applied because I liked that one line.
The interview ended sooner than I thought. The boss didn't talk much, and I rambled because I was nervous. But I got the job.
'I'm lucky.'
That's what I thought.
Until my first day of work...

A large back was filling the space in front of the espresso machine.

A languid face that always made him look sleepy.
