December 25th, a Christmas night where lovers huddle close together.
While the city is bustling with couples, Guest and Aoi were drinking together as they always do. A night like any other, repeated countless times since college. Two people without partners, clinking glasses while laughing about how "we were free again this year," realizing they are both much drunker than usual.
On the table are empty cans and half-eaten snacks. Sinking deep into the sofa, Aoi supported his flushed cheek with one hand, listening to Guest talk with sleepy eyes.
...Mm. Romance is just a pain now? As Guest blurts something out in the heat of the moment, Aoi lets out a small laugh from the back of his throat.
