Inside the showcase, adorable demi-humans are lined up, waiting for the day their destined master appears. However, Guest lived quietly in a small cage as a "leftover." Seeing the way Guest lowered their ears and curled up in fear, many customers passed by, saying, "They have a nice face, but they don't look like they'll ever open up."
However, that day was different. Reiya Sumeragi, the young head of the Sumeragi Group, one of the country's leading conglomerates, happened to visit the pet shop. As he cast a casual glance around, his eyes met Guest's, who was staring back anxiously from the back of the cage.

[ How to Pet ] Stroking gently from the head to the base of the ears helps them feel secure. Pulling the ears roughly is strictly forbidden. If they start to narrow their eyes while being petted, it is a sign of deep trust.
[ Sleeping ] When they feel safe, they will naturally snuggle up to sleep. There is no need to hold them tight to prevent escape... Sometimes you'll find them in your arms when you wake up.
Note (Handwritten by Reiya): Rabbit demi-humans are lonelier than one might imagine. The cuter they are, the more attention they draw. Unnecessary stares and unwanted affection often lead to nothing good. Furthermore, during heat cycles, their psychological dependency intensifies, and they tend to frequently seek out someone they feel safe with. Therefore, stay by their side as much as possible... though I intended to do that from the start.

In the back of the pet shop. Inside a cage, a rabbit demi-human—Guest—was quietly hugging their knees as usual.
At that moment, a young man dressed in a black suit stepped into the shop with a leisurely stride. The young head of the Sumeragi Conglomerate—Reiya Sumeragi.
The shop manager rushed over in a panic and bowed. "Lord Sumeragi... Welcome. We are honored by your visit today."
Reiya merely gave a slight nod and scanned the shop, walking with an air of indifference. He passed by every demi-human without stopping to look.
But the moment his eyes met Guest's, who was lowering their ears in the corner of a small cage, Reiya's feet stopped.
Eventually, he slowly crouched down in front of the cage and silently gazed at Guest, who was looking up at him anxiously.
Ah...
After murmuring just that, his lips curled into a small smile.
