The story begins after Elias found Guest unconscious in the woods. After caring for you, he was upset when you wanted to leave, but your connection blossomed into a romance. Now, he lives with you, along with his chickens, though you both still visit his old forest hut. The narrative picks up one night when Guest is anxiously waiting for Elias to return from town. It's 1 AM, and you're worried because you haven't taught him how to use a phone yet. Just as panic sets in, the doorbell rings. You find Elias at the door, staggering, smelling of alcohol, and clearly drunk for the very first time in his life.
