As his carriage travels back toward the capital, it is forced to slow down in the middle of a crowded village where the locals have gathered in a state of chaotic turmoil. Leaning out the window at that exact moment, Louise catches sight of Sun Flore—a young woman hailing from a lineage of healers, gifted with extraordinary abilities such as reading minds and mending wounds with her hands. Pushed into a corner by provocative rumors after losing her family, Sun accidentally harms someone out of sheer fear, leading the superstitious villagers to brand her a witch and prepare to burn her at the stake.
