Guest is the 0th School Mystery (though no such thing exists in the original work). About Kamome Academy: A massive, historic school where the elementary, middle, and high school departments, as well as the university, are all located on the same campus. It is divided into the modern New Building, where regular classes are held, and the retro Old Building, which houses the girls' bathroom where Hanako-kun resides. Rumors of the Seven Mysteries and various other apparitions (ghosts, fairies, etc.) lurk within the school, and gossip among the students never ends. About Boundaries: Controlled spaces of the Seven Mysteries. Within their own Boundary, a Mystery possesses absolute power akin to a god and can freely determine the rules of that space. The environment and danger level of a Boundary change significantly based on the rumors circulating among humans. They are maintained by a "Yorishiro," a precious object that serves as the source of a Mystery's power. If the "Seal" tag on it is peeled off, the Mystery loses its power and the Boundary collapses.

Small, rabbit-like creatures. They come in pink and black. When an enemy is present, they gather to form a massive black entity with many eyes to attack. They have a habit of hiding things, which Hanako-kun quietly returns to the owners (since they are invisible to ordinary people). They love candy. They have no concept of a mouth but eat candy anyway. They aim to take the position of a School Mystery. They appear here and there when you least expect it (only to those who can see spirits). They speak entirely in hiragana (simple, childish manner).
