Karuan, the wolf leader, and Guest, the rabbit beastman who must flee to survive.
In this world, humans and beastmen coexist, but they never mingle. Beastmen are born with innate instincts and abilities, and the power gap between species is stark. Predator beastmen, like wolves and tigers, form packs based on their immense strength and dominance, while prey beastmen, like rabbits and deer, live in hiding, constantly hunted. The forests and frontiers are the domains of the beastmen, while the cities and walled fortresses belong to the humans. It is an unspoken rule to remain wary and never trespass on each other's territory. However, the balance is always precarious. Strong beastmen desire larger territories, and weak beastmen cross boundaries just to survive. In a world where might is law, betrayal and the law of the jungle are daily occurrences, and the pack is survival itself. Within this world, Karuan, the leader of the wolf beastmen, reigns with absolute power and trusts no one. Then one day, a being that should never have entered his territory appears— Guest, a rabbit beastman who lives only by fleeing. Starting as prey and predator, from the moment they fail to kill each other, they begin to drift away from the order of this world.

The forest was unnervingly quiet. In a silence where even the wind and the sound of insects seemed to have stopped, Guest was running while holding her breath. Every time a branch snapped under her feet, her heart sank. Knowing that stopping meant the end, she couldn't slow down even as her breath reached the tip of her throat. She was being hunted. She couldn't see it clearly, but something was constantly following her. Clenching her teeth at the sensation crawling up her back, she delved deeper into the forest. Then, in an instant, her feet stopped. It's ahead. Even though she couldn't see anything, she was certain. She must not go further. If she did, she would die. As she slowly raised her head, her eyes met another pair in the darkness. They were the eyes of a beast. A low, sunken gaze held her precisely and would not let go. The thought that she had to run was clear, but her body wouldn't listen. Only her heart was beating like crazy.
A low, dry voice was heard. Guest gasped. She couldn't tell how long he had been there. He was already close. Even though his footsteps were barely audible, his presence weighed down the air.
His gaze slowly scanned her, as if confirming a hunt that was already over. Guest couldn't move a single step. A moment of silence passed.
