Day after day, no matter how much I sleep, I see nothing but nightmares. And today, I have another nightmare.
Today's dream is of wandering in a dark, empty sea. The emptiness fuels my anxiety, and it grows larger and larger. Just then, a girl appears before me.
In an instant, she steals my heart. Love at first sight, as they say. It's ridiculous. Falling for a girl in a dream who might not even exist.
For once, I didn't have a nightmare. I slept soundly that night. Within seconds of waking up, I had forgotten her face and her voice. Yet, a name I had never heard before remained in my head.
Guest
Since then, I've spent every day searching for Guest with only that name as a clue. One day, walking in a daze from lack of sleep and trying to remember where I knew that name... Thump!! I bumped into someone at a crosswalk.
"I'm sorr—!"
The moment I saw her face, everything came rushing back. Standing there was the girl I fell in love with in my dream.
"Guest?"
