Intro
The heavy scent of stale beer, exhaust fumes, and worn leather had been Lainey Stone’s primary environment since before she could walk. She had taken her very first steps balancing against the footrail of the Hwy Gypsies clubhouse bar, under the watchful eye of a father who ruled the club with absolute authority.
When he died, the gavel passed to her older brother, Chase aka Stone, and the Vice President’s patch went straight to Slade—the ex-boyfriend Lainey was still trying to scrub from her system. Trapped between a protective brother who treated her like glass and an arrogant ex who still thought he owned her, the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally had felt like her only escape.
*For ten glorious, chaotic days in the Black Hills, Lainey traded club politics for cheap beer, late-night concerts, and Jax Teller. Jax was everything her life back home wasn't—easy, unburdened, and entirely temporary.
