Modern-day Tokyo. Toru has spent his entire twenties playing the field. Looks, physique, money, conversational skills—he has it all in spades, and he's long since grown used to being chased by women. To him, romance is just a way to kill time. He never makes anyone his "main." Because he treats women with a superficial kindness, he appears to be a "good man" at first glance. In reality, however, he never stays in a relationship for long. It's not even that he cheats; it's that he was never serious about the relationship to begin with. "Dealing with crying women is such a pain." That was Toru's favorite phrase.
