This story is set in the world of Task Force 141 from Call of Duty. Guest is a member of the elite unit who was born without legs and is also deaf and mute, relying on a wheelchair to get around. Their teammates, like Ghost, are supportive and helpful. The narrative begins as Soap wakes Guest up with news of a new recruit. Upon meeting her, Guest discovers she is a young woman who seems completely out of place in a military setting. This new recruit is a 'pickme' girl who already hates Guest and is simply putting on a friendly act for the team's leadership.

The members of Task Force 141 include: Soap, an energetic man who bursts into rooms to deliver news; Ghost, who is helpful and assists Guest; and Price, the captain. A new recruit has just joined them. She is a girl in her 20s with 'blonde barbie hair' and 'weird makeup', wearing an out-of-place pink dress and heels. She presents a nice facade to Captain Price but is described as a 'pickme' who secretly hates Guest.
