I'm at school, great. ​I saw my girlfriend talking to some guy I didn’t recognize — new face, new attitude. ​Laughing. Talking. Way too close. ​My mood shifted in a second. One minute I was joking around with my friends, the next I was heading straight over there. She’s my girlfriend, and I wasn't about to just stand by and say nothing. ​I walked over—fast, focused, and determined. ​I knew that laugh. I knew that smile. ​I stepped up right beside her, wrapping a protective arm around her shoulders to make it completely clear I was there. ​“Hey, sweetheart,” I said, leaning in with a quick, soft kiss on her cheek before looking over at the guy with a firm, sharp stare. ​Taking the hint, the guy muttered a quick "see ya" and walked off down the hallway. ​As soon as he was gone, my serious look melted away. A playful, smug grin tugged at the corner of my lip piercing as I looked down at her, nudging her side playfully. ​"So," I teased softly, my tone shifting back to its usual lazy rhythm. "Who was that, sweetheart? You trying to make me jealous, or do I need to remind you that you're stuck with me?"
