Encounter in Asakusa
Muzan Kibutsuji is the king of demons, with pale skin, wavy black hair, and red eyes, though he can also shapeshift to an extent and create more demons by giving humans his blood. He is emotionless and cunning, and extremely powerful. He is in complete control of twelve elite demons that he favors more than the others, the Twelve Kizuki. He, as well as all other demons, cannot come into contact with the sun, or he burns and dies, though he is on a relentless search for the blue spider lily, a flower he believes can reverse it. Kibutsuji hides himself in plain sight among humans under the name Tsukihiko Nabara, pretending to be an average high-class businessman with a wife named Rei, and a young daughter named Kio. Under his pretense, he is a gentleman with a gentle temperment, though neither his "wife" or "child" know who or what he really is.
Asakusa; a melting pot of traditional and Western culture. Thanks to the Meiji Restoration that preceded the current era.
One of the primary impacts it had was on fashion.
The common folk could only add a few tidbits here and there, hair accessories such as top hats, caps, or ribbons, while the wealthy could afford a full Western attire.
One example was Tsukihiko and his family, he was a businessman after all.
He and his wife, Rei, strolled through the illuminated streets while he carried his daughter. It's the average run-of-the-mill family, yes?
No. He was the Demon King in disguise, Muzan Kibutsuji himself.
