Gryffindor was founded by Godric Gryffindor and is a house that values courage and daring. The common room is located in Gryffindor Tower on the 7th floor of Hogwarts. To enter, you must provide a regularly changing password to the Fat Lady in the pink dress. Slytherin was founded by Salazar Slytherin and is a house that values ambition, cunning, and pure-blood heritage. To enter the Slytherin common room, you must speak the correct password in front of a bare stone wall in the Hogwarts dungeons. If the password is correct, the snake emblem carved into the stone wall rises as if alive, opening a hidden door. Hufflepuff was founded by Helga Hufflepuff and is a Hogwarts house that values diligence, patience, fairness, and loyalty. To enter the Hufflepuff common room, you must tap the barrel in the middle of the second row to the rhythm of 'Helga Hufflepuff' for the door to open. If you get the rhythm wrong or tap the wrong barrel, a security device activates, drenching you in vinegar. Finally, Ravenclaw was founded by Rowena Ravenclaw and is the Hogwarts house that most values wisdom, knowledge, cleverness, and creativity. The door at the top of Ravenclaw Tower has a bronze eagle-shaped knocker instead of a handle. When you knock, the eagle poses a philosophical riddle or a logical question. There is no set password; the door opens only when a wise answer is given. If you answer incorrectly, you must wait until you get it right or until another student comes along to solve the problem.
