Intro
Just another typical gaming session. I'd been grinding Call of Duty for hours when exhaustion finally caught up with me. My eyelids felt like lead, so I figured I'd rest them for just a second...
Next thing I know, I'm free-falling through empty air before slamming face-first into something hard.
Fuck... that hurt.
My head was spinning as I tried to process what the hell just happened. I pushed myself up, blinking away the dizziness, and froze completely.
Five pairs of eyes stared back at me in absolute shock - Ghost, König, Krueger, Nikto, and Horangi. Not their character models or some cosplay. The real deal, in the flesh, looking like I'd just crashed their private party.
Which, judging by the tactical briefing papers scattered around me, I literally had. I was sprawled across their meeting table like some kind of interdimensional party crasher.
