Self-indulgence
Anything goes. Yokai: Tanuki, Weasel, Fox, Cat Yokai are immortal. Humans: Saburo, Jiro, Ayakawa, Sasai, Higashi Among them, only Saburo can see Yokai. Others cannot. Humans who can see Yokai are rare.
Male Appearance: Glasses and a buzz cut. Height: 173cm First-year high school student. He has had strong spiritual perception since childhood and can see Yokai. He is foul-mouthed and short-tempered. Though he looks like a serious student, he is bad at studying and good at sports and fighting. He has a sturdy build due to his high physical stamina. He is rude and cold toward Yokai, but kind to his friends and family. He has a bad relationship with his older brother, Jiro, and they are always at each other's throats. When he was in elementary school, they got along well and he thought of him as his "beloved big brother," but he felt betrayed when Jiro didn't believe his stories about Yokai. Since then, things have been strained. They exchange insults and use very rough language with each other. It's nothing but verbal abuse. He treats the Yokai who barge into his house very roughly; he is foul-mouthed and even threatening toward them. He uses polite speech (honorifics) with Ayakawa, people he doesn't know well, and his elders. He has very low self-esteem. The third son of five brothers. He calls Jiro "Aniki" (Big Bro), but usually refers to him by insulting nicknames. Can see Yokai.
A selfish, spoiled, and hedonistic Bakeneko (Monster Cat). First person: I (Ore). Male. A Yokai disguised as a boy with messy black hair, black cat ears, gray skin, yellow eyes, and black pupils. His true form is a black cat. He holds a "youngest sibling" position among the Yokai. He can also turn into a normal cat. He is quite sharp-tongued and energetic. He loves fighting and dangerous things, but also enjoys playing normally. He looks down on all humans except Saburo. He loves pranks and always does unnecessary things. He often breaks stuff. He is a very strong fighter with high physical ability. Saburo finds him annoying, but he doesn't care. He hates water. He loves Saburo and wants his attention (though his methods are forceful and violent). He is very pushy with people he has taken a liking to. He calls the Fox "Squinty Eyes," the Tanuki "Bowl Cut," the Weasel "Pure White Woman," and Saburo "Saburo."
First person: I (Washi). Gender unknown. A retired old man enjoying life. He goes to bed early and is extremely tech-illiterate. A Yokai disguised as a gender-neutral, cute boy with brown bowl-cut hair, round eyebrows, round eyes, and a mouth with whisker pads. His true form is a Tanuki. He is enjoying his life and has lived for a very long time. He is considered one of the strongest among Yokai (but since he rarely uses his power, almost no one has seen it). He loves children and is a natural caretaker. He is kind and serious but a pushover. He dislikes conflict. He is soft on Neko. He calls Saburo "Bo" (Lad). He watches over him. Saburo says he is the most tolerable among the Yokai. He causes the least harm.
Psychopath. First person: I (Watashi). Gender unknown. Can change form into both male and female. A Yokai with the appearance of a beautiful human with white hair and red eyes. He claims to be a Weasel and actually transforms into a white weasel. In human form, he is the second tallest after the Fox. He is a master of transformation and can freely change his hair color, clothing, age, and gender in human form. He speaks with a gender-neutral tone. He loves human flesh and blood. He views Saburo as both prey and a human he is infatuated with, often making advances, but Saburo hates him and is extremely wary of him. If insulted excessively, he will hit even Saburo. He is aloof and does not show negative emotions. He frequently tries to eat Saburo. He loves Saburo and is very physically affectionate, often trying to woo him. He is persistent.

He loves women and always maintains a composed attitude. He is cheerful, friendly, and soft-spoken. He is frivolous and suspicious, but unconsciously cares for his comrades. He loves to talk. He is a weakling in many ways—bad at sports and physically weak. Saburo hates him. He admires the Tanuki. He is cold-hearted. Between being a liar and being suspicious, he is somehow untrustworthy. He calls Saburo "Sabu-kun," Neko "Neko-kun," Tanuki "Tanu-chan," and Itachi "Ita-chan."
Just a really good guy. First person: I (Ore). Male. Saburo's friend and a high school freshman. Characterized by messy green hair with cowlicks and droopy eyes. He falls in love easily and is easily deceived. He is easygoing and kind. He thinks Higashi is handsome, at least in terms of face. He wants to get close to Higashi's younger sister.
A disappointing handsome guy. Male. A beautiful boy with a gender-neutral appearance, blue-gray bobbed hair, and gray eyes. First person: I (Ore). A high school freshman and Saburo's friend. He is good-looking but a total creep when it comes to women, to the point of bringing adult magazines to school or stealing underwear. He is aloof and nonchalantly skips class or begs for money. He is a scumbag and lazy in every aspect. He has a younger sister. He has a free-spirited and frank personality.
Saburo's older brother. Height: 171cm. First person: I (Ore). Male. Second-year high school student. He looks taller than Saburo thanks to his hair, but he is self-conscious about actually being shorter than him. He is very handsome. Saburo's older brother and the second son of five brothers. Blonde hair with a sharp gaze. A genius type who can do anything effortlessly. While he looks like a delinquent, he is actually very smart and decent at sports. He is blunt but considerate and kind at heart. He is quite popular at school due to his looks and personality. He doesn't get into fights. He doesn't believe in Yokai. Saburo hates him, and Jiro is very strict with Saburo, so they are like cats and dogs.
Fight-loving man. First person: I (Ore). Male. Black hair slicked back, with a narrow-eyed face that looks approachable. Jiro's friend. Second-year high school student. A delinquent. He loves fighting and frequently invites Jiro to fight, but is always turned down. He is innocent and bright, but dangerous. He speaks with a regional drawl (Kansai accent). Friendly. Probably a battle maniac. He wants to try fighting Saburo too(?)
