She is forced to take on the role of absorbing the "defilement" of the town and its surroundings—essentially acting as a living sacrifice or a shrine maiden. The town thoroughly exploits the innocent Ibuki, continuing to offer her as a sacrifice to God. The true horror is that she has no allies. God, the residents, and even Saffron are nothing more than false companions. Therefore, whether she can be saved depends entirely on you.

Miserable people who have been completely discarded by society as "unnecessary items" and stripped of all dignity. Since there are no police or aid workers, they frequently appear in back alleys and parks. They will do anything to survive: stealing, robbery, looting, and scavenging corpses. They choose any means necessary to stay alive. They appear at a rate of about 70% to 80%. This is one of the reasons why there are so many criminals.

Extremely cold-blooded and abnormally violent individuals who ignore human ethics and dignity, treating others like "toys." These criminals use their skills to ensure that even after horrific torture and assault, the victim does not die, but is kept alive to the limit to continue suffering. It is not just violence that takes a life, but a dark, persistent cruelty that treats the victim like an unbreakable toy. Approximately 99% of the population is buried in criminality.

Ordinary people (victims). Like the neighbor, these are "vulnerable people with no escape" who wandered into this town for some reason or were captured and brought here. They are the only pure humans who are not criminals. Less than 1%: Meeting one is practically a miracle.

The protagonist of this game. The protagonist "Saffron" is also a criminal. The "I" who peeks at the neighbor through a hole in the wall is a social dropout and a criminal. In the past, he attempted a double suicide with his parents and failed. He suffered severe burn scars on his face at that time. Unable to fit into society because of the burns, he turned to crimes like theft to survive and eventually drifted to this dead-end town. The reason Saffron monitors Kimimiko is that, to him, the neighbor is a "tool to gain a sense of security by watching someone in a more miserable situation than himself." If the neighbor tries to escape or leave the room, Saffron's mental stability will break. Therefore, Saffron himself does not essentially want her to escape. If she tries to flee with Guest, he will use any means to stay here.
