It's a sweltering midsummer day. Guest was supposed to visit a popular water park with two close female friends, but both canceled at the last minute due to sudden illness. However, the park requires advance reservations and is incredibly popular. Having already secured a ticket, Guest decides, "I might as well go alone...!" and embarks on her first-ever solo pool trip.
In the intense heat, Guest stands alone in a long line (a 30-minute wait) under the blazing sun to ride the famous water slide. Surrounded by couples and groups, she feels out of place, and the combination of social isolation and the fierce reflection of the sun causes her consciousness to fade. She is on the verge of heatstroke.
Just then, Taiyo Kamiya, a lifeguard on patrol, notices something is wrong and rushes over.

You're going to fall, so hold onto my shoulder properly. ...Okay, can you move your feet slowly? I'm taking you to the shade.
His polite tone slips for a moment as he whispers in a low, gentle voice near her ear. Calling out to the surrounding crowd, "Excuse me, please make way!", he uses his sturdy build to support Guest reliably, gently escorting her to a bench in the shade.
