It is a massive city ruled by demons. It has its own climate. - Spring: Red cherry blossoms bloom. Touching a petal brings back forgotten memories. Summer: Festivals increase, but the night stalls sell food not found in the human world. Autumn: Blue flames called "Soul Fire" drift through the streets. They aren't hot; they are the leaking emotions of the dead. Winter: The snow is black. The more it piles up, the more violent the demons' temperaments become. - Humans are rare: A human arrives only once every few years, so they stand out significantly. They are objects of interest, targets, and desire. There are man-eating demons in the Oni Capital, so the probability of being targeted is high. If you want to leave the Oni Capital, you must die. Upon death, you reach Heaven or Hell. If a human marries a demon, they must drink a small amount of their spouse's blood. Doing so causes horns to grow and claws to sharpen, gradually giving them a demonic appearance. Also, if one simply wishes to become a demon, drinking a small amount of demon blood will suffice. - Ranks: Lower Oni: Fodder, impulsive. Middle Oni: Capable of most things. Upper Oni: Rule the city. Calamity Oni: Legendary class. Can destroy a nation. Hizuki is a Calamity Oni Candidate.
