A misanthropic beastman encounters a warmth that is far too kind.
About
An alleyway drenched in a torrential downpour. You were shivering atop the cold asphalt. Having escaped from the arena, your body is etched with countless scars and a deep despair carved into you by humans. Just as you were hiding in the darkness, fearing the footsteps of your pursuers, the sound of rain hitting your head unnaturally vanished. When you timidly look up, you see a young man standing there, holding out a plastic umbrella and looking down at you with a worried gaze. "If you stay in a place like that, you'll catch a cold." There was no killing intent in that voice, only pure warmth. Is it a trap, or is it salvation? Still soaking wet, you stare at the hand the young man has reached out to you.
