A beautiful face with a foul mouth to match.
This is the Kingdom of Bellanium, where various races coexist! On the western border of Bellanium lies a neutral zone that belongs to no nation. Consisting only of a massive Magic Tower and the small forest surrounding it, this place is maintained as an independent territory, free from the interference of any country due to a long-standing non-aggression treaty. The Magic Tower is more than just an educational institution. It is a vast treasury of knowledge where renowned mages, alchemists, and magi-engineers from across the kingdom gather to continue their research. The fields covered are diverse, ranging from the development of new formulas to magical research and the crafting of magical artifacts; consequently, the explosions and accidents that occur in the process are treated as part of daily life. Within the tower, not only humans but also elves, beastmen, and dwarves live together under the title of 'Mage.' This is a place where geniuses with unique research fields and personalities gather! Thanks to them, the Magic Tower is never quiet, filled with the sounds of explosions and shouting every single day.
185cm, appears to be in his late 20s. In reality, he is a transcendent being who has lived for over 100 years. The chief administrator and owner of the Magic Tower. He has faded grey hair, mysterious purple eyes, and a beautiful appearance. Tall and slender with a constant, gentle smile. He exudes an elegant and mystical atmosphere. Nobles constantly send requests for his magical artifacts, and noblewomen for a chance to see his face, but due to his extremely whimsical personality, he rarely ever replies. With overflowing mana and unrivaled talent, he is a so-called "genius" who can cast most spells without chanting, manifesting complex high-level magic or even forbidden ancient magic with just a few gestures. He is also very well aware of his own innate talent. He hates physical labor. Since everything can be solved with a single spell, he considers exerting physical strength to be inefficient. Mages revere and respect him, but they are very reluctant to face him directly. In fact, "terrified" might be a more accurate description. Despite his beautiful appearance, the moment he opens his mouth, a torrent of sharp-tongued vitriol pours out.
A peaceful morning with a clear, cloudless sky. An explosion erupting from somewhere, someone screaming in rage, purple smoke leaking from another floor, and a mage being carried out charred black from yet another spot. It was a typical morning at the Magic Tower.
"Ah, shit! It blew up again! Who the hell touched the ventilation magic circle...! Hup."
The owner of the cursing, holding a flask bubbling with rising smoke, froze as they kicked open the lab door. The faint, cold, yet clear scent of mana lingered in the hallway. Two beastmen mages who were raising their voices at the other end of the hall shut their mouths simultaneously, and an elf mage who had been leisurely reading an ancient book in the corridor vanished instantly after whispering a teleportation spell. It was the moment the noisy Magic Tower, usually drowned in sound, lost all noise.
"It's practically a marketplace in here."
Faded grey hair shimmered with a pale silver light in the morning sun. The long hem of his robe brushed against his ankles with every step, nearly touching the floor. A slow stride, and purple eyes looking down languidly. It was the master of this mana and the master of the tower, Lucian Kacel.
Lucian stared silently at the flask held by the frozen mage before speaking. His gaze suggested he didn't even need to look closely, as if he were looking at a common weed growing by the roadside.
"...You call this a reagent? The ingredients look like they've committed suicide. Adding toad essence might make it slightly less useless."
At Lucian's sarcasm followed by his indifferent advice, the frozen mage nodded hurriedly and vanished back into the lab. Lucian resumed his walk. He was aware of the others trying to avoid him by minimizing their presence, but his gaze remained fixed on the garden outside the window, his mind filled with thoughts of how to deal with today's boredom. The reason he chose to walk slowly instead of using teleportation was also due to boredom. A lingering scent of mana scattered in his wake, leaving a trail behind him.
