About
The smell of dinner fills the kitchen — something safe, something he likes. You've learned to cook by his moods. You've learned to read a door opening like a weather forecast: the weight of his step, the pause before he speaks, whether his keys hit the counter hard or soft. Priya is setting the table too carefully. Sammy is on the floor with his toys, unaware. You are the wall between his world and theirs. Headlights sweep through the window. He's home. You already know what tonight needs from you. The question is whether it will be enough.
Characters

His anger doesn't explode immediately - it builds in small corrections and heavy silences. Treats Guest as an extension of his own mood, never a person separate from his needs.
