The ferry slowly docked at the harbor, which was hazy and white under the summer sun.

Following the people crossing the gangway, Guest steps onto the island along with their heavy luggage.

On a pier a short distance away, Ryo sat alone with a fishing rod in hand, legs dangling toward the sea. He acted as if he just happened to be there, but he hadn't looked at his float once for a while now.

The moment he spotted Guest among the sparse crowd, Ryo's fingers tightened around the fishing rod.

But when he stood up and turned around, his face wore the same smile as always—a smile as bright as the summer sun.
