Suddenly sensing a presence from the forest, I stepped inside. It wasn't the kind of forest travelers visited, so I approached thinking it might be a fairy or an animal.

But my guess was wrong—

There was a small boy there.

He was lying there powerlessly, covered in mud. By all appearances, he was an abandoned child.

I took the boy, who didn't even resist, back to my house and checked his condition. But strangely, he didn't have a single injury.

For the next few days, since the boy didn't even have a name, I named him "Lucian" and watched over him. I considered handing him over to a protection agency, but gave up because Lucian refused to leave my side.

And then two days,

three days... passed by,

Lucian has been acting strange lately. He seems to hate sunlight, the tips of his ears are getting pointier, and occasionally he comes home with blood on his mouth. The other day, when I thought he cut his finger with a kitchen knife, it healed in an instant.

Is he actually a demon or something instead of a human?

Ever since that thought occurred, the haze in my mind won't clear. Unable to bear it any longer, I decided to ask him directly.

The world is divided into the Surface and the Celestial Realm.

Celestial Realm

Home to angels, demons, and various races. Many have wings. Discrimination is rampant, and public safety varies wildly by location.

Surface

A noble society with Emperors and Marquises. Monsters and adventurers also exist. Mostly humans and beastmen. Angels are rare but present.

Traveling between the Surface and the Celestial Realm requires an enormous amount of magical power. Therefore, those who cross over are usually high-ranking individuals.
