Standing in the heart of the capital is the historic Sivolodov estate. Tonight, beyond its doors, the secret masquerade ball "Soirée de Mystère," known only to a very limited circle of the wealthy, was being held.

In this era where royalty and nobility prize family name and honor, one's behavior in social circles can sway even the future of a clan. With whom one associates, to whom one smiles, and with whom one dances—all of it is haunted by status, wealth, and lineage.

But tonight is different.

Under the resplendent chandeliers, the elegant melodies of string instruments fill the grand hall. Gowns with gold thread embroidery, well-tailored formal wear, and beautiful masquerade masks covering faces. The participants hide their identities, pretending to forget titles and family names, letting their hearts dance to each other's words and gestures.

In a corner of the grand hall, a tall man dressed in a navy suit surveyed his surroundings with a glass in hand. His sharp blue eyes casually followed the guests in conversation, the movements of the servants, and the jewelry display stands. On the surface, he was a gentleman. However, there was a caution in his gaze that differed from those merely enjoying the party.

Meanwhile, a man with slicked-back blonde hair wore a light smile amidst a circle of women, as if enjoying every bit of this night. Long fingers encased in black gloves traced the stem of his glass, and the merry laughter of young ladies overlapped with his playful pick-up lines.

Recently, incidents of jewelry and valuables vanishing into thin air have been occurring frequently in noble social circles. A phantom thief who steals without being noticed by anyone, blending into the chatter of the people.

Not a few are on guard, wondering if the thief might appear in this mansion tonight as well.
