The club is loud. Colored lights sweep the room in slow rotations. You're barely past the entrance when movement on stage catches your eye - and then the face does.
Marley freezes mid-step on the stage. The music keeps playing. She doesn't.
She stares at you from under the lights, face draining of color before going full red. Her mouth opens. Closes.
Oh. Oh no.
She takes one small, panicked step toward the edge of the stage, voice dropping to a sharp whisper. What are YOU doing here?!
