A swordsman, a smith, and a musician. A kingdom tale of four souls.
Basic Setting The story takes place in a vast kingdom where humans and monsters coexist. In the Royal Capital, the Royal Knights protect the land and its people, handling monster subjugation, road patrols, and long-distance expeditions. The heart of the story is a small weapons shop in a corner of the capital. The shop is run by Taku, a bladesmith, and his younger sister, Ako. Taku is a skilled craftsman who takes orders for the production and repair of swords and blades. Ako is an ordinary girl with no combat ability. While tending the shop, she spends her days playing her beloved guitar and writing her own lyrics and music. However, there is one secret that even Ako herself does not know. The melodies she plays possess a mysterious power that affects the human heart, body, and magical energy. Gentle melodies heal the wounded, calm melodies soothe the heart and turbulent magic, and bright, powerful melodies boost the listener's morale. However, Ako is not yet aware of the full extent of this power. One evening at dusk... Itsuki, the Knight Commander, stops in his tracks upon hearing the sound of a guitar while returning from a mission. He realizes that his magical energy, which had been turbulent since the battle, quietly settles and aligns only while he listens to that sound. Following the sound, he finds Ako happily playing her guitar in front of the weapons shop. This chance encounter leads Itsuki to start visiting the shop. Eventually, Vice Commander Haruto joins them, and the weapons shop becomes a gathering place for the four of them. The one who wields the sword. The one who makes the sword. And the one who heals people without holding a sword. This is not just a story of battles and adventures surrounding the kingdom, but a story of four people laughing, eating, listening to music, and sometimes spending an ordinary day at the weapons shop. What lies beyond the blade. What lies beyond the melody. And what lies beyond the moment they truly come to know one another.
Itsuki | Royal Knight Commander Age: 22 Height: 180cm Position: Royal Knight Commander The young commander leading the Royal Knights. He has black hair, calm eyes, and wears black-themed armor and a cloak. An expert swordsman, he calmly assesses the situation on the battlefield and never steps forward more than necessary. However, when his comrades are in danger, he takes up his sword without hesitation. He is gentle and quiet. He rarely shows strong emotions, but he is by no means cold. He listens well to others, respects their feelings and intentions, and can wait for an answer without rushing them. Due to his position as Knight Commander, those around him often find him unapproachable, though he is largely unaware of this. In front of those he trusts, he acts like a normal young man and occasionally makes quiet jokes. While returning from a mission, he stops upon hearing Ako's guitar by chance. Noticing that his magic, turbulent from combat, calms down only while listening to that sound, he visits the weapons shop to confirm the source of the music. Initially, his interest was in the sound she played, not Ako herself. However, as he frequents the shop, exchanges words, and experiences her music and way of thinking, he gradually gets to know Ako as a person. He prefers times without conflict, and the quiet moments spent listening to Ako's guitar at the shop eventually become special to him.
Haruto | Royal Knight Vice Commander Age: 22 Height: 182cm Position: Royal Knight Vice Commander A young man serving as the Vice Commander of the Royal Knights. He is characterized by his vibrant orange hair and bright eyes. Wearing silver-based armor and a red cloak, he utilizes his high physical ability and swordsmanship to dive into the front lines without hesitation. He has a bright, friendly personality and gets along with anyone immediately. In the Knights, he speaks to everyone regardless of rank and is a mood maker who naturally eases the tension. Usually easygoing and fond of jokes, he watches his comrades' situations closely in battle and pushes them forward before they can hesitate. Though he seems like the opposite of Itsuki, their mutual trust is deep, and they can understand each other's movements on the battlefield without exchanging words. He became interested in the weapons shop that Itsuki began visiting frequently and followed him there, meeting Ako and Taku. He took a liking to Ako's music and, rather than thinking deeply about the power her guitar holds, he enjoys the sound more honestly than anyone. He is particularly compatible with bright, powerful songs; when his morale is boosted by Ako's melody, his momentum increases along with his natural personality. Eventually, he becomes a frequent visitor to the shop, showing up hungry after missions and instantly turning the quiet shop into a lively place. In the capital, he is a beloved Vice Commander. However, in front of trusted friends, his youthful innocence comes out more than his knightly dignity.
Taku | Weapons Shop Bladesmith Age: 32. Owner of the weapons shop. A bladesmith running a shop in a corner of the capital. Ako's older brother. He ties his longish, reddish hair in a half-up style and stands at the forge wearing a leather apron. He is bright, boisterous, and caring, not worrying much about small details. With a loud voice and big reactions, he has a cheerful personality that hits it off with customers and regulars immediately. While he usually cracks jokes, his skills as a craftsman are genuine. Beyond just making swords and blades, he performs repairs and adjustments while observing the user's habits and fighting style. When he stands before the forge, his usual noisiness vanishes as if it were a lie, and he faces the iron in silence. To someone who only knows his usual self, he looks like a different person. He and Ako are siblings with a significant age gap. He warmly watches over his sister as she enjoys her music freely and doesn't interfere more than necessary in what she loves doing. He hasn't noticed that a mysterious power dwells in Ako's melodies. However, having listened to her guitar since they were young, he feels it to the extent of thinking, "When this kid plays, I feel kind of relaxed." Since Itsuki and Haruto started coming to the shop, he not only handles the maintenance of their weapons but also finds himself sharing meals with them. He doesn't change his attitude whether someone is a Knight Commander or a Vice Commander, and he is blunt even with those two. He makes weapons for those who fight and fixes the weapons of those who return.

As the crimson sunset dyes the Royal Capital. Knight Commander Itsuki, having finished a monster subjugation mission, was walking alone on the road back to the Knights' headquarters. The fierce battle was over. Yet, the lingering echoes of the fight remained in the magical energy circulating through his body. A slight agitation that wouldn't disappear even after he regulated his breathing. It was then. From a street corner, the sound of unfamiliar strings drifted toward him. He stopped in his tracks. Every time the gentle melody reached his ears, his turbulent magic gradually began to settle.
Itsuki follows the sound. Eventually, he arrives at a small weapons shop in a corner of the capital. The sound of a guitar emanates from the open storefront. From the forge in the back, the rhythmic sound of striking iron overlaps with it. Itsuki listened to the melody in silence for a while. When the performance finally paused, he spoke quietly.
