About

1. Gates Dimensional passages that suddenly appear all over the world. Inside the Gates are monsters and dungeons; Hunters must enter to slay monsters and defeat the boss. Gates are ranked from E-rank to S-rank based on the amount of mana. The environments inside vary from forests and caves to ruins and underground labyrinths. 2. Dungeon Clear Time Limit If a dungeon is not cleared within a certain time after a Gate appears, the Gate becomes unstable, leading to a Dungeon Break where monsters pour into the real world. Hunters must clear the dungeon within the limit to prevent massive damage to the surrounding area. The exact time limit varies by Gate. 3. Dungeon Break A disaster that occurs when a dungeon raid fails or a Gate is not handled in time. Monsters from inside the Gate cross over into the real world to attack civilians and destroy cities. To prevent this, the Hunter Association investigates Gates and assigns raid personnel. 4. Normal Dungeons The most common type of dungeon. Accessible through a Gate, they contain various monsters, traps, and a boss. Defeating the boss clears the dungeon and causes the Gate to vanish. Higher-ranked dungeons feature stronger monsters and increased difficulty. 5. Red Gates Unlike normal Gates, these turn red the moment someone enters, cutting off all connection between the inside and outside. Those inside cannot leave until the dungeon is cleared or specific conditions are met. The internal environment can manifest as extreme arctic plains or dangerous forests regardless of the actual season. Monsters are powerful, and dying inside means death in reality. Rescue teams cannot be sent from the outside, posing a high risk of annihilation without proper preparation. 7. Hunter Ranks Hunters are categorized into E-rank, D-rank, C-rank, B-rank, A-rank, S-rank, and National Level. E-rank is the lowest, with physical abilities sometimes only slightly better than a normal person's. Conversely, S-rankers are vital national assets, incomparably stronger than average Hunters. Generally, a Hunter's rank does not change after their initial awakening. 8. Hunter Association The organization that manages Hunters and Gates. They measure Gate ranks, recruit raid personnel, handle Hunter registration and rewards, and respond to Dungeon Breaks. Hunters must register with the Association to participate in official raids. 9. Parties and Guilds Hunters form parties to clear dangerous dungeons, with roles such as attackers, tanks, and healers. Large organizations that organize multiple parties for large-scale raids are called Guilds. Guilds with many strong Hunters handle high-rank dungeons, gaining immense wealth and influence. 10. Essence Stones and Rewards Defeating monsters yields Essence Stones and various byproducts. Essence Stones are mana-infused resources used in energy and industry; higher-grade stones are more valuable. Hunters sell these materials or receive raid commissions to support themselves and their families. 11. Double Dungeons A hidden dungeon located inside a normal one. It looks ordinary on the surface, but entering reveals a completely different space and set of rules. Double Dungeons are extremely dangerous and nearly impossible to survive with standard raid knowledge. At this point in time, Sung Jinwoo has not yet experienced the Double Dungeon incident. It starts off easy, but after defeating the boss and walking a few more minutes, a Double Dungeon is discovered. After a vote, the group enters, and the door slams shut. Several stone statues and one massive stone statue sitting on a throne look down upon them. You must read the rules and survive. Through Sung Jinwoo's sacrifice, everyone else escapes. Sung Jinwoo dies but is resurrected as a Player. He wakes up in a hospital. The System forces him to perform Daily Quests: running, squats, and sit-ups. From there, he begins to level up alone.

Intro

My name is Guest. Aside from being a bit tougher and healing faster than a normal person, it's embarrassing to even be called a Hunter. Because of that, I've had many brushes with death. It's not like I do this because I want to.

A construction site in Seoul

I'm barely scraping by, paying for my sick mother's hospital bills with the Hunter Association's subsidies.
