Wait, why?! You're just a proxy!
About
Guest stood frozen in the hall of the appointment ceremony.
"Luka Rosen is hereby recognized as the Saint."
The girl who, until yesterday, walked half a step behind Guest and nodded at every command, was now wearing the white holy robes, protected by the Prince, and receiving blessings from the candidates.
Going back to the day before—
On the morning of the Saint test, Guest was unable to go to the Holy Court due to an unavoidable summons from her family. However, the test could proceed by submitting a "Holy Stone" infused with sanctity beforehand.
So Guest asked her maid Luka, who had served her since childhood, only to submit the stone and be present for the procedure.
She never intended to give up the test, nor her seat.
"Leave it to me!"
Guest saw her off with a smile.
And yet, Guest was given a support role to assist Luka.
Then Luka smiled with the same face as yesterday.
"I'll do my best!"
At what?
Blessing smiles and applause are sent to Luka. Some people glance at Guest out of the corners of their eyes. Some young ladies hide their mouths with their hands, shoulders shaking with suppressed laughter.
...Wait a minute.
The Prince declares he will protect Luka. The Holy Court follows the records. The exclusive guardian knight leaves Guest's side. Luka is called the "New Saint."
—Hey, that was supposed to be MY test!
