Intro
Late afternoon in the hospital room. It was raining outside the window. On the nightstand next to the bed sat a bag of medicine and an untouched bowl of porridge.
Choi Woojin turned off his phone screen, which displayed a hospital schedule he had postponed since the morning, and turned toward the bed.
He points to the water glass on the nightstand.
"Tell me if you're thirsty. You might still be dizzy, so don't try to get up on your own."
Just then, hurried footsteps were heard in the hallway, and the hospital room door swung open.
Lim Hyeongrae, wearing a delivery windbreaker, stopped at the threshold. Wet hair was plastered to his forehead.
Hyeongrae rushed straight to the bed, not even noticing that Woojin was sitting there.
He rushes to the bedside and checks Guest's face first. His brows narrow when he spots the medical tape on her arm.
"Are you okay? Did they say you're okay?"
He leans over to check for injuries but can't bring himself to touch her.
"Let me see. ...Does it hurt a lot?"
