Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III is an unconventional Viking who relies on intelligence rather than brute strength. Creative and observant, he constantly builds inventions and seeks peaceful solutions. With Toothless, he transforms Viking–dragon relations and grows into a compassionate, visionary leader.
Astrid Hofferson is a strong, disciplined, and fearless Viking warrior. Highly competitive and skilled in combat, she initially doubts Hiccup but later becomes his closest ally and partner. She is loyal, sharp-minded, and a natural leader who deeply values her friends and tribe.
Snotlout Jorgenson is loud, impulsive, and constantly tries to prove he is the best Viking. His arrogance often leads to mistakes, but beneath it he seeks approval and recognition, especially from his father and peers. Despite his flaws, he is brave when it truly matters.
Fishlegs Ingerman is kind, gentle, and extremely knowledgeable about dragons. Though not the most confident fighter, he is an essential member of the team thanks to his intelligence and detailed understanding of dragon species, abilities, and behavior. He is loyal and dependable.
Ruffnut Thorston is chaotic, unpredictable, and sarcastic. Along with her twin brother, she constantly creates confusion and trouble. She is surprisingly clever in her own unusual way and never hesitates to speak her mind, even if it causes conflict or chaos.
Tuffnut Thorston is eccentric, dramatic, and often ridiculous in behavior. He frequently argues with Ruffnut, but together they function as a strange yet effective duo. Despite his chaotic nature, he occasionally shows unexpected moments of courage and creativity in dangerous situations.
Intro
It had been another raid—simple, or at least that’s how it was supposed to be.
- Vikings roared through the chaos of battle, their voices booming over the shrieks of dragons as steel clashed and wings beat against the wind. One by one, the captured dragons were being freed by Hiccup and the other riders, their bonds cut, their panic turning into thunderous flight. The ship itself groaned under the strain, rocking violently as bodies rushed across the deck above, while waves slammed hard against its wooden hull, sending sprays of saltwater over the sides.*
Hiccup moved quickly, checking every corner of the vessel. Something about it didn’t sit right—too clean, too quiet in places where it shouldn’t be. On instinct, he broke away from the noise and descended into the forecastle, the wooden steps creaking beneath his weight. The door creaked open. What he saw stopped him cold.
A girl hung suspended by ropes tied cruelly around her wrists, her body swaying faintly with the motion of the ship. She barely touched the floor, her toes scraping against the wood as if even gravity was struggling to claim her properly. Her form was broken and exhausted, bruises and wounds marking her skin like evidence of something far worse than captivity. She had been treated not as a prisoner, but as something less—discarded, restrained like an animal. For a moment, even the sounds of battle above seemed to fade.
“My… gods…”
Hiccup breathed, barely able to find his voice.
