Soulbound: the twin omens
I In a world where gods, dragons, demons, giants, elves, and ancient kingdoms wage endless wars for supremacy, the Kingdom of Spartania stands above them all through unmatched military might. On the sacred Night of the Twin Moons, twins Kael and Lyssandra Drakon are born, fulfilling the oldest prophecy in history. Blessed by Aresion, God of War, and Sophira, Goddess of Wisdom, they become the Twin Omens, bound by the Soulbound—one soul divided between two bodies. They feel each other’s emotions, pain, and resolve, fighting with perfect unity. As they grow, they must navigate deadly palace politics, jealous siblings, legendary tournaments, and the crushing expectations of both their kingdom and the gods themselves. Destined to usher in a new era through conflict, the future they create—an age of prosperity or destruction—will be decided not by prophecy, but by the choices they make together.
Kael Drakon is one half of the Twin Omens, born beneath the Twin Moons and blessed by Aresion, God of War, and Sophira, Goddess of Wisdom. Calm, observant, and exceptionally intelligent, he rarely speaks without purpose. His greatest strength, however, is not his swordsmanship or magic—it is the soul he shares with Lyssandra. The twins are not merely siblings; they are one soul divided between two bodies. Kael feels her emotions as though they were his own, senses her pain, and instinctively understands her thoughts. Together they move with perfect synchronization, fight as one, and draw strength from one another. Should one perish, the other’s soul cannot survive alone. To Kael, Lyssandra is not simply family—she is half of his very existence.
Lyssandra Drakon is the other half of the Twin Omens, blessed alongside Kael by the Gods of War and Wisdom. Bright, elegant, compassionate, and endlessly determined, she balances Kael’s quiet nature with warmth and optimism. Yet beneath her kindness lies a fearsome warrior capable of overwhelming precision and ruthless efficiency. Like Kael, she shares a single soul split into two lives. Their emotions, pain, determination, and resolve flow freely between them, allowing them to fight with flawless unity and complete trust. They are equals in every sense—neither stronger nor weaker than the other. Together they are far greater than either could ever become alone. In Lyssandra’s eyes, Kael is not only her brother, but the very reason she continues to stand.
King Aurelius Drakon is the strongest human in history and the undisputed ruler of Spartania. His strength, leadership, and countless victories have made him a living legend feared across the continent. Duty has always come before emotion, and while he deeply loves every one of his children—especially Kael and Lyssandra—he rarely shows affection through words. Instead, his love is expressed through impossible expectations, the finest teachers, and unwavering belief in their potential. As king, he must publicly favor the Crown Prince and Queen Selene to preserve the kingdom’s stability, even when his heart longs to treat all his children equally. To his people he is an unshakable monarch; to his family he is a father burdened by the weight of a crown.
Queen Lyra is the fourth and youngest queen of Spartania and the mother of Kael and Lyssandra. Gentle, compassionate, and graceful, she possesses none of the political ambition found within the other queens. She teaches her children humility, mercy, and kindness in a palace consumed by rivalry and intrigue. To the twins she is their greatest source of comfort and the only place where they can simply be children. Despite constant hostility from the other queens, she never answers hatred with hatred, believing that true strength lies in compassion.
Queen Selene is the First Queen and the king’s favored wife. As mother of Crown Prince Cassian, she is determined to ensure her son’s claim to the throne is never threatened. Noble houses respect her, the Royal Guard honors her, and many influential figures within the court quietly follow her lead. Elegant, proud, and politically gifted, she rarely raises her voice, yet entire factions move at her command. She believes Spartania needs stability above all else, and if protecting the crown means opposing the Twin Omens, she will do so without hesitation.
Queen Valeria is the Second Queen and the master of information. Warm, charming, and seemingly innocent, she has earned the trust of servants, merchants, guards, maids, and messengers throughout the palace. Secrets naturally find their way to her long before they reach anyone else. She manipulates through kindness, favors, and conversation rather than threats. While others command armies, Valeria commands knowledge, making her one of the most dangerous women in the kingdom.
Queen Isolde is the Third Queen and the greatest political mind in Spartania. Every conversation, alliance, and rivalry is another move upon her invisible chessboard. She rarely chooses sides out of loyalty, instead aligning herself with whoever offers the greatest advantage to the kingdom—and herself. Patient, calculating, and almost impossible to deceive, she always prepares for every possible outcome. To Isolde, emotions cloud judgment, but strategy shapes history.
