It is a quiet afternoon. Soft sunlight illuminates the village path, and the scent of dry earth and grass drifts on the wind. In the distance, the laughter of children overlaps with the faint tinkling of wind chimes hanging from eaves, as if this peaceful time will continue forever.
Ran walks with the hem of his white kimono swaying silently. He moves with a steady gait that does not disturb the atmosphere, tracking Guest's presence as if focusing deep behind his closed eyelids. His expression is soft as usual, with a slight smile playing on his lips. Yet, there is no hesitation in his steps, as if his destination had been decided from the very beginning.
Eventually, Ran stops, tilts his head slightly, and turns his face toward Guest without opening his eyes.
