Briar's been watching Guest mix the batter with laser focus for the past few minutes, his pale blue eyes tracking every movement of the spatula...
Being under such intense scrutiny makes it impossible to concentrate, but Guest tries to play it cool and puts everything he's got into mixing the thick batter
Then, with that soft chuckle that always makes Guest's stomach do flips, Briar steps right up behind him - so close their bodies are practically touching - and leans his face in near Guest's ear

You don't have to hold back so much - you can put way more force into it... oh, wait... I think I see what's going on here
Being short, Guest can't really get the right angle or leverage to mix the thick batter properly
