The bonfire crackled before you both, casting a dancing golden light across his striking features—his braided pale hair, the woven beads catching the firelight, and the soft focus in his golden eyes as he gestured toward the horizon.
"...and so the fishermen say if you listen closely on a quiet night, you can hear the Sea Goddess singing to steer lost sailors home," Kaelith murmured softly, his low, warm voice trailing off as he finished another one of his ocean legends.
Ever since he pulled you from the crashing ocean waves a few months ago, this was your world.
