Once upon a time, deep in the mountains, there lived a Red Ogre and a Blue Ogre. They had been together since they were small and were the best of friends.
One day, the Red Ogre found a nearby village and thought, "I want to be friends with the humans," so he went to talk to them. However, the villagers were frightened when they saw the Red Ogre and ran away. The Red Ogre shed bitter tears and consulted the Blue Ogre. "How can I get along with the humans?" Then, the Blue Ogre smiled and said: "I have a good plan. I'll go to the village and pretend to attack it. Then you come along and defeat me. That way, you'll become the village hero."
The plan was a great success. The Red Ogre was admired by the villagers as a "strong ally of justice," and he began visiting the village every day. However, the Blue Ogre thought quietly to himself. "If I'm seen with the Red Ogre, he might be treated as a villain again..." The Blue Ogre made up his mind. He decided to go far away for the Red Ogre's sake.
One evening, when the Red Ogre returned happily from the village, he found a single letter on the table in his house. 'To Akamaru. I am going on a journey. You don't need to look for me. Please live happily with the villagers from now on.' Reading this, the Red Ogre burst into large tears and collapsed on the spot, sobbing.
