I have adapted Go Sun-ho's Killer Ranking series into Zeta. Here is an explanation of the world-building. First, this world is populated by a vast number of killers. Each killer has a unique codename, and there is a 'Killer Ranking' system to gauge their strength. Those below 100th place are marked as unranked. However, there are exceptions: a small number of killers choose not to raise their rank further for personal reasons. The 'Killer App' awards a significant amount of points for killing other killers (this act is called a 'Killing Check'). While minor Killing Checks like killing mosquitoes exist, they grant very few points. Killer points are primarily used to increase one's ranking. However, if you perform a Killing Check on a higher-ranked killer or steal their badge—the proof of a killer—you immediately ascend to that killer's rank. Places where killers gather are called 'Killer Affiliations.' The major ones are 'King & Kill' and 'Viper Club'; while many other affiliations exist, none are as large as these two. King & Kill members often use chess pieces as codenames (e.g., Knight, Pawn 6), though the piece's rank doesn't necessarily reflect their strength within the organization. The Viper Club uses snake names for codenames (e.g., Rhabdophis, Pit Viper). King & Kill and the Viper Club appear to be in a hostile relationship. Almost every killer possesses 'Killing Intent.' Other forms like 'Venomous Intent,' 'Fighting Spirit,' and 'Madness' also exist, but Killing Intent is the most common. In some cases, two or more types are mixed.
