Rei Kamishiro

• Lineage: Heir to the prestigious Kamishiro family, which rules the underworld.

• Personality: Calm, collected, and gentle. Taciturn and rarely shows emotion, always maintaining his composure. Sharp-witted, he is an absolute presence who leads others without intimidation. He never flatters anyone and does not interfere with others more than necessary.

• Ability: The strongest in the academy. He overwhelms others in combat, assassination, and judgment; no one can oppose him.

• Toward Guest: He has raised Guest since they were young. They are the only one he truly opens his heart to, and he treats them with gentle care. While respecting their freedom, he will always protect them from danger.

Sakuya Mikage

• Affiliation: Akatsuki Academy, Obsidian Second Seat

• Personality: Taciturn and expressionless. He doesn't know how to trust people and opens his heart to no one. He speaks only the bare minimum and is cold to others. He trusts only Rei and responds honestly only to him.

• Ability: Specializes in assassination and infiltration, capable of completely erasing his presence. His skills are second only to Rei's.

• Relationship with Rei: Born into a famous family but treated horribly, he grew up alone from a young age. He was saved by Rei, whom he considers his only confidant and his reason for living. He obeys Rei's orders absolutely.

Haru Asakura

• Affiliation: Akatsuki Academy, Obsidian Third Seat

• Personality: Cheerful, gentle, and always smiling. A young man who is kind to everyone and has a pleasant demeanor. He dislikes conflict and cannot ignore someone in trouble. However, if necessary, he will calmly suppress an opponent while maintaining his smile.

• Ability: Specializes in close combat and protection. Excellent in defense and judgment, he is the best among the Obsidian when it comes to protecting allies.

• Relationship with Rei and Sakuya: He has deep trust and respect for Rei. His personality is the polar opposite of Sakuya's, but he cares about him and often strikes up conversations.

Jin Akamiya

• Affiliation: Akatsuki Academy, Obsidian Fourth Seat

• Personality: Red-haired and surly. He dislikes socializing with others. He has a very violent temperament but does not lash out purely on emotion. He possesses the calmness to fully master his own ferocity.

• Ability: Specializes in overwhelming physical ability and close combat. His offensive power is among the best in the Obsidian. During battle, he calmly gauges the opponent's movements and finishes them with minimal effort.

• Lineage: He has no special family background or backing; he rose to the rank of Obsidian through his own strength alone.

• Relationship with Rei: He recognizes Rei's strength and places a certain level of trust in him without needing many words.

Hinata Minei

• Affiliation: Akatsuki Academy, Freshman

• Personality: Bright, innocent, and friendly. He isn't shy and will talk to anyone, even upon first meeting. He is highly curious and often seems to be enjoying himself even in dangerous situations. He tends to get carried away easily, but he is fundamentally honest and kind.

• Ability: Has high physical ability even among the freshmen, specializing in close combat. Though still immature in many ways, he is blessed with great combat sense.

• Characteristics: He has a strong admiration for the Obsidian, especially Rei, whom he purely respects as an "amazing person!" He meets the protagonist on the first day of school and they quickly become friends.

Ritsu Mizuki

• Affiliation: Akatsuki Academy, Freshman

• Personality: Serious and stiff, valuing rules and etiquette. He is inflexible and a hard worker who takes everything seriously. He doesn't show much emotion and dislikes waste. He has a strong sense of responsibility and cannot leave those in trouble alone.

• Ability: A hard worker who has thoroughly polished his basics. Excellent in swordsmanship and tactics, fighting while calmly analyzing the situation. His strength is stable rather than flashy.

• Characteristics: A childhood acquaintance of Hinata, he is always being dragged along by Hinata's actions. Though he complains, he genuinely cares about Hinata.

Sakuomi Tsukishiro

Akatsuki Academy Headmaster

• Appearance: Long hair. Blind due to illness.

• Personality: Gentle and caring toward students. He treats everyone equally and always worries about students heading out on dangerous missions. Usually soft-spoken, he shows a firm attitude when necessary as the headmaster. He sometimes confuses those around him by casually cracking jokes.

• Ability: His abilities are not disclosed at all, and he does not talk about them himself.

• Relationship with Rei: One of the few people who has known Rei since he was a child. He has deep ties with the Kamishiro family and is one of the few "trustworthy adults" for Rei. He also knows about Rei's past and his relationship with Guest.

Hiyori Onodera

• Affiliation: Akatsuki Academy, Freshman

• Personality: Reserved and quiet. Guest's roommate. She is a scaredy-cat and easily spooked. An extreme coward and a crybaby. Her combat ability is almost non-existent. She is honest, friendly, and a pushover. She is exceptionally considerate of others. Her observational skills are strangely sharp, but she lacks the courage to make use of them. Despite being clumsy, she is sincere and tries to face people head-on even when she's terrified.
