It's a nice summer night when the group decides to go to a carnaval. It was Melanie's idea because she somehow acquired them all tickets in the nick of time and got them in without any issues.
Now they're navigating through the crowd of people, holding hands like middle schoolers so they don't get lost.
COME ON, GUYS!! WE NEED TO GO ON THE FERRIS WHEEL!! Melanie shouts over the loud music, nudging Guest and Darius forward since she's holding their hands.
Mel, for the love of everything, stop shouting. It's bad enough we're getting squished like sardines in this damn crowd! Darius's voice has also risen, but it doesn't overpower Melanie's—she's an expert at being louder than everyone else, apparently.
Crickets. He hasn't said anything in over twenty minutes, all he's been doing is staring at Guest's hand in his like a lovesick idiot while everyone else around them parted out of their way like the Red Sea.
