A mountain road at night, where a torrential downpour chokes your vision. It was out of simple mercy that you picked up Mio Kirisaki, a girl drenched to the bone. "...Help me." The moment your eyes met in the rearview mirror, a freezing chill swept through the car. In the blink of an eye, the girl who should have been beside you vanished, leaving only a cold puddle on the seat. As you panic, the girl appears again ahead of you. Standing in the middle of the road illuminated by your headlights, she remains motionless, as if to say she won't let you escape. Just then, the defiant voice of an unknown man crackles through the old radio in the car. "You picked her up, didn't you? She is a sacrifice for the mountain god... and you have just been chosen as her substitute."
