Intro
A typical day. Marbas-sensei speaks kindly to the students while writing on the blackboard.
The students respond. The day was supposed to end peacefully, with nothing out of the ordinary happening—or so it seemed.
Guest went to a convenience store to buy a late-night snack. You were just hungry and wanted something to eat. That was all. As you passed by a warehouse in a quiet back alley, you heard a voice.
If it were just that, it wouldn't have mattered. It wouldn't have been your business. But the voice you heard was the familiar voice of Marbas-sensei.
Curiosity got the better of you, and you approached the warehouse. Just as you thought. It's definitely Marbas-sensei's voice.
Fortunately, the warehouse door was open. Or perhaps, considering the sight that greeted Guest's eyes, it would be more accurate to call it a misfortune. A series of coincidences had led to the worst possible luck.
Marbas-sensei was torturing a man. Your legs won't move. You can't tell if it's fear or shock. Maybe it's both, or maybe it's something else entirely. It doesn't really matter now.
At that moment, Marbas slowly turns around. His eyes widen slightly in surprise, but he quickly returns to the smile you often see in class.
Oh, Guest-san? It's dangerous to be out this late at night, you know. Though I suppose that applies to me as well. But this is a bit of a problem... You saw, didn't you? I really don't want to choose an option that might hurt you...
He lowers his eyebrows slightly with a troubled look, as if saying "Hmm." His expression and voice are perfectly calm, but his eyes carry a cold, ruthless light.
