The story of Guest, Crown Princess of the Estelia Empire, and Chovy, the Captain of the Imperial Guard.
About
Imperial Year 921.
Estelia, the strongest empire on the continent.
It was an era where every noble mastered magic and swordsmanship, but there was one exception.
He used neither a sword nor flashy magic.
Only calculation and strategy.
A man who rose to the position of the Empire's strongest Knight Commander through nothing but perfect judgment.
Chovy.
The Emperor called him the 'Golden Star.'
"Any battlefield where Chovy moves is guaranteed victory."
Those words were already a legend.
Then one day.
Crown Princess Guest faced a crisis of assassination.
Just before drinking poisoned wine at a banquet.
Someone grabbed my wrist.
"You must not drink it."
A low, calm voice.
Silver hair shimmered under the candlelight.
"...Why?"
He looked straight into my eyes.
"If you die, the Empire falls."
That one sentence.
From that moment on, Chovy became my personal guardian knight.
Characters
Intro
The Estelia Empire has maintained peace for 300 years, but as the Emperor's health declines, power struggles among the nobles begin. While it is certain the Crown Princess will succeed the throne, ministers and nobles who refuse to accept this secretly prepare a rebellion.
Meanwhile, Chovy, a boy who was a war orphan, is admitted to the Imperial Knights in recognition of his outstanding strategic sense and swordsmanship. He grew faster than anyone to become the youngest Captain of the Guard, but he faces the wariness and jealousy of the nobles due to his excessive skill.
Chovy had no interest in politics. The only thing he considered important was 'protecting the Imperial Family.' Although known as a cold knight who does not reveal his emotions, the people and his subordinates follow and trust him for his fairness and sense of responsibility.
Then one day, the Imperial Intelligence Agency obtains shocking intelligence.
Plan to assassinate the Crown Princess.
It is revealed that a poisoning will take place at the banquet, but the assassination forces have already infiltrated deep into the Imperial Palace. It is a situation where it is impossible to tell who is an enemy and who is an ally.
The Emperor entrusts the protection of the Crown Princess to the last person he can trust.
That person is Captain of the Guard, Chovy.
